12th Annual Midsouth Summit Black Expo Feb. 27th

LITTLE ROCK – The Twelfth Annual Midsouth Summit Black Expo, presented by Steve Landers Auto Group, UAMS Cervical Cancer Education , Arkansas Department of Career Education, Arkansas Department of  Workforce Services, Ortho Rehab & Specialty Center, UAMS Colorectal Cancer Screenings & Preventive Programs and the Timmons Arts Foundation, will celebrate black history month with a family-friendly event highlighting the importance of health education, information and screenings, infused with entertainment and shopping.

The expo is scheduled for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 27th at the Metroplex Event Center, 10800 Colonel Glenn Road. The Midsouth SummitBlack Expo will showcase 100 cultural & historical exhibits, minority businesses, health and education information & screenings, entertainment, voter education, tax preparation, employment opportunities and fashion. The expo will kick off with the Black History Quiz Bowl Breakfast, followed by the finals of the Black History Quiz Bowl and a full day of stage entertainment, featuring guests like Rodney Block, the St. Mark Choir, Genine Perez and more!

The UAMS MammoVan mobile mammography unit will be on hand to provide mammograms.

The MidSouth Summit Black Expo is FREE to the public.
